REVIEW ~Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan~

Title: Undeniable
Author: Madeline Sheehan
Series: Undeniable #1
Release Date: October 7, 2012

My Rating: 5+ Heartbreaking Stars
Warning: This is not a "typical love story". This is an all-consuming, soul-crushing, tear-your-heart-into-pieces story. It’s intense, gritty and raw, dark and disturbing, and it doesn’t happen overnight. This is an epic love story that knows no boundaries and has no time limits. It grows and develops—with hurt, sacrifice, and heartache—over the span of a lifetime.

Eva Fox is the princess of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club. Growing up with bikers in the club lifestyle is all that she knows. When she’s a young girl, Eva meets the reason for her existence. Deuce West is the sexy, biker bad-ass of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. Like Eva, he was born and raised in the club—but that’s where the similarities end. Their first meeting is innocent, but as Eva matures into a woman, their chance reunions evolve into a fit of lust and love. Fate continues to bring them together time and time again, but their twisted journey is filled with pain, betrayal, and bloodshed that could tear them apart. Eva sees in Deuce what he cannot see in himself—a man worthy of love—and Eva spends her lifetime proving to him that her undeniable love is the one thing he can’t live without.

This is Eva and Deuce’s story.

It wasn’t easy.
Nothing worth doing ever is.
And love is worth everything.

I don't know why I never learn. MC books have always been my downfall. As in, they put in a book slump, make me ugly cry, and give me the biggest book hangovers ever. I have no earthly idea why. Why do bad ass men on bikes, who are usually the biggest jerks have such an affect on me?!?! I can't answer that. What I can do is, tell you that Undeniable achieved all of that, in triplicate. I have never been so torn about a book before. I hated it, yet I loved it so hard. It is an exquisite story, that broke my heart. But it also pieced it back together a little bit at the end. I spent the 24 hours after I finished this book reeling. I have to warn you, heed that warning at the beginning of the synopsis because Undeniable is all of those things and more.

Eva and Duece were meant to be together. The heartache and torture they had to go through to get there is highly commendable and wounded me to a point where I almost walked away from the book. It gets graphic, it gets real, and it is by no means a fairy tale. I couldn't walk away though. I was to enraptured by their story to not see them to their ending. Undeniable, is told over a span of several years. Ms. Sheehan jumps time in order to give her readers the best, worst, and terrible of Eva and Deuce's relationship. If you think you're going to catch a break in this book, emotionally, you are sorely mistaken. Ms. Sheehan took a  death grip to my heart in the first pages and still hasn't let up. At some point, I experienced hate, resentment, love and sympathy for all of the characters. Even the villains had a tug on my heartstrings at some point. Throughout Eva and Deuce's relationship they are thrown every curveball, and every horrible thing that could happen, does. It is one of those books that had me completely entranced the entire time, hence why I couldn't put it down.

I've never read a book so tragic, yet beautiful. I rooted for Eva and Deuce until, at one point I thought it might be easier for everyone if they called it quits. But Romeo and Juliet have nothing on these two. Whether in life or death, happy or miserable, they were destined for one another. The events that transpire in this book absolutely blew my mind. It is a road that you can't even begin to imagine until you read it yourself. I may be a masochist but, I loved this book. Yeah, it gets sad and uncomfortable. But if an author has me completely forgoing sleep, even when I have work the next day, something about this book is phenomenal, and inexplicably wonderful. Ms. Sheehan is quite simply a genius where her writing is concerned. That being said, I will be taking a couple weeks before I dive into the next book... I don't think my heart could take it :)

Happy Reading!
