BLOG TOUR REVIEW ~Defenseless by Corinne Michaels~

Title: Defenseless
Author: Corinne Michaels
Release Date: January 19, 2016

My Rating: 5 heat-melting stars!

My life is a secret.

His life is dangerous.

We’re both stubborn, calculating, and controlling.

Mark Dixon doesn’t know what he’s getting into. He doesn’t know his games could cost us our lives. I have to do what is necessary to keep us alive, and that means guarding my heart.

But I know I’m defenseless against him, and in the end, he’ll force me to surrender.

I look around because the hair on the back of my neck prickles. “We need to get out of here.” Someone is here, watching, listening, and now it’s time to do what I do best. “I’ve missed you.” I smile while I use the tip of my finger to trace his jawline.

Mark’s eyes shift over my head as he pulls me flush against his body. We’re both facing exits. “I’ve missed you more,” he plays along.

This might just work. He’s on alert as well and senses something awry. His fingers splay across my lower back as he holds me close. “Maybe we should head back to my place so you can show me just how much.” I glance over his shoulder. His blonde hair falls in his eyes as he dips his head into my neck. I know the move, but a shiver runs down my spine.

“You’d like that, wouldn’t you?” I release a very low moan, which I didn’t give permission to escape. Mark’s lips glide across my skin.

I’m not sure he’s acting.

I’m not even sure that I am.

Then Mark reminds me this is serious. “There are two guys behind you.” His voice is low enough that only I can hear him. To anyone passing, we’re two lovers reacquainting ourselves. “One at my two o’clock, and the other is out of my view.”

“One just passed behind you twice. I think going toward my exit is best.” I snuggle closer. “I’m ready when you are.” The double meaning is meant for anyone to hear, but Mark should know it means I’m ready to disappear. “You’ll have to keep up, though.”

He leans back while cupping my face. His lips hover over mine. “I don’t have any problems keeping you satisfied, princess.”

My pulse spikes. I know he can hear it, feel it, see in my eyes that I’m affected. My breaths are shallow as his hands slowly make their way down my arms.

“Arrogant prick,” I mutter.

I can tell he’d be an incredible lover. His overconfidence would only play to my benefit. We’re both cut from the same cloth, ready to fight for dominance. He’d win, though. I can see it in his eyes. There would be no battle, Mark has already won. Right now, he controls me. He determines whether we kiss, what it’ll be like, and for the first time in my life—I surrender.

His lips come closer. “They’re closing in,” he whispers, his eyes locked on me. “Charlie?” he asks.

“What?” My voice is barely audible.

“This will happen again when we don’t have to fight off people, and then you’ll be mine.”

I don’t have time to reply. His lips crash down on mine as he spins me around so he leads our exit. The second our mouths collide, my brain disconnects. My fingers tangle in his hair, grabbing it to pull him close. Mark’s hands hold my face to his and he continues to guide me. I know we’re moving but I have no idea to where. In this instant, I don’t care. Never has someone made me feel so desperate for them. I never lose control, never feel so lost, yet right now, I am. I’m raw, exposed, and completely vulnerable.
This book in completely stunning. An effortlessly perfect mixture of suspense, sex, and love. This is the second Corinne Michaels book I've read and you can gaurantee I will be revisit the books that I missed in between. Defenseless meets up with the the group that has fought together and found love together, yet with all of the happily ever afters there is unspeakable heartbreak and danger still hovering over them. In order to give everyone closure and safety Mark, the resident dirty-humored and mouthed bad boy teams up with Charlie, a CIA operative on leave. Both have too much to lose to not complete this mission, and day by day the passion they spark in one another becomes more impossible to deny.

Mark and Charlie are dynamic together and apart. But of course I loved it better when they were together. I sincerely could not get enough of the story and the smexy times. Defenseless offered all of the good stuff in one neat heart achingly wow-ing book. I HIGHLY encourage anyone who has not read a Corinne Michaels book to get started with this on ASAP. I promise you will NOT be disappointed. It's just not possible. Mark and Charlie will have you laughing, sighing, and searching for a fan (or 10). Defenseless is a true winner this year, and made me a fan of this author for life!

Happy Reading!

BLOG TOUR REVIEW ~Dirty Together by Meghan March~

Title: Dirty Together
Author: Meghan March
Series: Dirty Billionaire #3
Release Date: January 12, 2016

My Rating: 5 Brilliant, Dirty Stars
My wife.

I love saying those words.

She’s mine, and if she thinks I’m going to let her run without tracking her down and bringing her back to where she belongs—with me—then she’s about to be introduced to a new reality.

Because I’ll fight dirty to give her the happily ever after she deserves.
As the third and final book int he Dirty Billionaire Trilogy, Dirty Together offers a satisfying and delicious end to Creighton and Holly's time together. Though, I swear, I could read this couple every day and not get sick of them. Their chemistry is record breaking, the sex is filthy, yummy, and mind-melting, and their relationship is to be envied.

Throughout the series there is a lot of back and forth between Holly and Crey. Do they love each other? Do they love each other enough? Are they good for one another? And so the tale goes of these two not really believing in the good thing they've found. Until Creighton wises up and takes the helm for them both and steers it in the right direction. The direction of happiness and love and wickedly amazing sex. Yet, even after their commitment is made the trouble isn't over, nor are the bombshells. Dirty Together is a head-spinning conclusion and one that I wish had continued. Though, I was epically thrilled with Holly and Creighton's ending, I feel that with the last half of this book so many open story lines popped up. Not to say that the series didn't feel finished, because it did, but there was much intrigue with a certain character, and then more with Creighton's right-hand man. I feel like he could get his own story as well. But I guess that is all just a testament to the expert writing of this series. Meghan March created a couple that was incredibly beloved, and a literary world that was both incredibly relatable and intriguing.

Overall, this series as become a favorite of mine. A quick-witted, raunchy, sweet tale and one that I will miss. If you're into sweet and understanding alphas, and strong-willed, loving heroines this book is for you. But please be warned this book is NOT for the faint of heart. These two scorch every surface the touch, and I wouldn't be surprised if they spontaneously combusted.

Happy Reading!

Series: Dirty Billionaire #1

I've got a big dick and an even bigger bank account. That's pretty much where my bio ends.

Honestly, I don't need to say anything else. I've just sold 99% of women on going home with me.

Do I sound like an asshole to you?

That's because I am.

And guess what? It works for me just fine.

Or at least it did.

Until I met her.

Books talk about sparks flying. Fuck that shit. With her, it was like emergency flares mixed with jet fuel. Or maybe just straight up napalm.

Only one problem.

She wouldn't tell me her name or her number when she disappeared from the hotel room after the hottest fucking night of my life.

Now I've had a taste of unicorn pussy—the sweetest, rarest of all pussy—and I need it again.
So what's an asshole to do?

I took this problem to the street. A missed connection gone viral.

And when I find her? I'm keeping her.

I did it. I married a billionaire.

My reasons are my own, but the last thing I expected was to feel owned.

I may have taken vows, but I’m still determined to be me.

Now his rules are taking over my world, but I’m not the kind of girl to just obey.

There’s only one problem: I might actually be falling for him…

I have no idea how this marriage is going to go, but holding onto a piece of myself while succumbing to his dirty pleasures is shaping up to be the ride of a lifetime.

BLOG TOUR ~The Baller by Vi Keeland~

Title: The Baller
Author: Vi Keeland
Release Date: January 18, 2016

The first time I met Brody Easton was in the men’s locker room.
It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster.
The famed quarterback decided to bare all.
And by all, I don’t mean he told me any of his secrets.
No. The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel, just as I asked the first question. On camera.
The Super Bowl MVP quickly adopted a new hobby—screwing with me.
When I pushed back, he shifted from wanting to screw with me, to wanting to screw me.
But I don’t date players.
And it’s not because I’m one of the few women working in the world of professional football.
I’d date an athlete.
It’s the other kind of player I don’t date.
You know the type. Good looking, strong, cocky, always looking to get laid.

Brody Easton was the ultimate player.
Every woman wanted to be the one to change him.
But the truth was, all he needed was a girl worth changing for.
Turned out, I was that girl.
Simple right?
Let’s face it. It never is.
There’s a story between once upon a time and happily ever after…
And this one is ours.
A new song had just started, and I was enjoying his company when a voice behind me said, “Can I cut in?”

My head whipped around, even though I had no doubt whom the gravelly voice belonged to.

Michael was gracious. “I hate to share. But I suppose I have been hogging the most beautiful woman at the event.” He let go of my hand and stepped back with a gentlemanly nod. “Thank you for the dance, Delilah.”

Again Brody Easton had caught me off guard. Before I knew it, I was dancing with the arrogant jerk. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled my body tight against his. Way tighter than Michael had held me.

“Good to see you again, Lois Lane.”

The man had balls; I had to give him that. I looked him straight in the eyes. “Nice to see you with clothes on, Easton.”

“Do you prefer me without?”

“I prefer you on the other side of the room.”

He chuckled. It was a hearty laugh. “That’s what happens sometimes when you decide you want to hang out in the men’s locker room.”

I tried to pull back, but he tightened his grip and held me in place. I craned my neck. “Let go of me.”

“No.”

“No?”

“That’s right. No.”

“I can scream at the top of my lungs.”

“I’d like to hear you scream.” His tone made it clear he meant he wanted me underneath him while I was doing the screaming.

“You’re an asshole. You know that?”

“I do. You asked me that yesterday. For a reporter, you should really try changing up your questions more frequently.”

My eyes bulged.

Easton shifted his hand down to the small of my back before twirling us around the dance floor. Figures the prick can dance.

“Are you seeing anyone?”

“You can’t be serious?”

He ignored my comment. “Would you like to have dinner tonight?”

“We just ate.”

“Dessert at my place, then?”

I couldn’t help but laugh. “Did you hit your head at the game yesterday?”

“On a diet, huh?”

“Yeah. That’s it. I don’t want to go to your place for dessert because I’m on a diet.”

“Well, that’s just a shame.”
