BLOG TOUR REVIEW ~THE TRUTH ABOUT US BY ALY MARTINEZ~

Title: The Truth About Us
Author: Aly Martinez
Series:
 The Truth Duet #2
Release Date: September 13, 2018

MY RATING: ★★★★★
Penn Walker entered my life like a summer storm—dark, ominous, and filled with thunder.

After witnessing my husband’s murder, I didn’t have much of a heart left to offer a man.

But Penn took it all.
Every jagged shard.
Every broken bit.
Even the dirty and twisted pieces that I wish never existed.

Lie: I didn’t need him to save me.
Lie: I knew exactly who he was.
Lie: Losing him wouldn’t destroy me.

But that’s the thing about lies—you never know who to believe.

Oh good heavens. If the first book in this evocatively stunning duet wrecked me, this one put me back together in a epically swoon worthy and compelling manner. Penn and Cora's story is intertwined in ways I could not have even begun to imagine, but not that all the truths, secrets, and shocks are laid out, I am in awe of what a twisted web Aly Martinez weaved.

I won't spoil all the ups and downs, twists and turns, but I can tell you that this book is an absolute must-read. It's mind-blowing, seductive, and insanely addictive. I couldn't get enough of Penn's intensity and unwavering dedication and love for Cora, or Cora's resilience, passion for her girls and Penn, and her pure heart. These two have been through a seemingly insurmountable amount of hell, but this story gives them both a second life neither of them were expecting, but both of them deserve oh so much.

If you're in the mood for an emotionally wracked and wickedly fascinating story filled with steamy moments look no further than this duet. It will wow you and leave you replaying Penn and Cora's journey for days.

Happy Reading!

Originally from Savannah, Georgia, USA Today bestselling author Aly Martinez now lives in South Carolina with her four young children.

Never one to take herself too seriously, she enjoys cheap wine, mystery leggings, and baked feta. It should be known, however, that she hates pizza and ice cream, almost as much as writing her bio in the third person.

She passes what little free time she has reading anything and everything she can get her hands on, preferably with a super-sized tumbler of wine by her side.
