NEW RELEASE REVIEW ~Dirty by Kylie Scott~

Title: Dirty
Author: Kylie Scott
Series: Diver Bar #1
Release Date: April 19, 2016

My Rating: 5 Stars!
The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that comes with her.

Lydia Green doesn't know whether to burn down the church or sit and cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing all together. She narrowly escapes tying the knot and meets Vaughan only hours later.

Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessman she thought she'd marry. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and unsettled. But she already tried Mr. Right and discovered he's all wrong-maybe it's time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.

After all, what's wrong with getting dirty?

This book is was breath of fresh air! I am always completely amazing by Ms. Scott's ability to create such endearing and quirky, out-of-the-box characters. Dirty may have upped the ante a bit though. Lydia and Vaughan met on her wedding day, but to be more clear, a day she was supposed to wed a DIFFERENT man. And such as it goes the perfect people found each other at the most inopportune time. But is there really an inopportune time to make a new best friend that has become your savior, and is quickly becoming the other half to your closed-off whole? I don't think there is. And while Lydia and Vaughan may have been hell bent to go on as previously planned before that well-fated shower scene the heart gets what is wants or it makes you beg for mercy until it does.

This was such a fun read. Packed with some intensely high heat and attraction and even more of a gripping story. This isn't just a romance for romance sake. This is a world-building novel that will make you fall in love with almost every character presented (sans for the ex-groom-to-be and his family the a=holes) and want to know so much more about where everyone is going. Though Lydia and Vaughan take front and center the secondary characters steal the spotlight from time to time, and the second story line made my heart ache for how it will be resolved.  Yet, in the end you have Lydia and Vaughan faced with the decision to be stubborn and follow their dreams, or realize that there are other, and even greater, dreams left to be had if you open up your mind and heart a little bit.

This story wowed me and gripped me. I will definitely be tuning into the rest of the series!

Happy Reading!
