Title: Ruin
Author: C.D. Reiss
Series: Songs of Corruption #2
Release Date: October 14, 2014

My Rating: 5 Stars!
What happens when a mob capo falls for a lawful woman?

Does he ruin her, or does she ruin him?

Do they live together, or die together?

This is Antonio Spinelli's story.

WARNING: This book contains delicious sex scenes with a hot man dirty-talking in Italian; women handling firearms and explosives; and scenes of violence with a crystal virgin Mary cigarette lighter.
Oh the twisted, demented ways of CD Reiss. Ruin held up to its name and utterly decimated me. The up and down, left and right. And the feels. Oh all the feels. I've never loved and hated a couple this much before. Capo (Antonio) and Contessa (Theresa) are truly in a love hate relationship with me the reader and sometimes even with each other. They fight like hell for their lives and their love. Yet, they can't live the life they want together. He can't leave his corrupt mafia world alive, and he can't force his Contessa to go on the run with him. So what is a Capo to do, but be bull-headed and make decisions for the both of them that are not his alone to make?

Antonio is clearly a man I love to hate, and hate to love. He blurs that ethical line so much. But who's the idiot cheering for this criminal and princess to make it? Me. Squealing and cheering. With pom poms. No, I'm not ashamed. I love it. And as for Theresa, well her corrupting ways didn't just come from the clear blue sky. She's always had the ability to be the ruthless Contessa she's turned into. She just needed her, equally ruthless, Capo by her side.

Together they are unforgiving, and undeniably consuming on the pages of Ruin. I didn't want this book to end. It was a thousand trains colliding all at once. In a world built on a house of cards, which weak link will break first? Too many things went right, and too many things went wrong. Leaving me wondering what in the bloody hell I had gotten myself into. At this point I'm so invested in this series, that IF I were some sort of author stalker, CD might be getting a knock on her door very soon. As in yesterday. Once again, Ms. Reiss as taken to luring me into her bizarro world and throwing her book at me, the very book that I didn't know I was craving to read. She knew what I needed and wanted, as a reader, before I did. How's that for some scary shit? So, if you'd like to be privy to this insanely seductive, and cruel world please go grab of copy of Ruin. Today. I'll wait... Don't make me go all Capo on you.

Happy Reading!

Mafia capo, Antonio Spinelli blew through my orderly life like a cyclone.

Gorgeous and passionate, with a breathtaking brutality, he put me under his spell the moment he touched me, drawing me into his underworld of risk, violence and betrayal.

And I found, just as this sophisticated savage didn’t trust me, I didn’t trust myself. Something happened to me. Some alchemy from the heat between us.

I discovered I was a savage, too.

Meet C.D. Reiss:
CD Reiss lives smack in the middle of Los Angeles with her children and husband. She likes to make pretty pictures and write dirty scenes. She eats dark chocolate and chili, together, sometimes with bacon, and doesn't care what you think about that.
There are a million more things she could tell you about herself besides that, but they're all too boring to mention in company.
