This is the book I have WAITED FOR. Forever. Not really, but it feels like it. The jury has returned its verdict and it was MORE than worth the wait. My goodness, I have not been wrecked by a single book in so freaking long. I am battered, bruised, and feeling all the warm fuzzies. It's a very confusing feeling, but once you devour this masterpiece you'll understand why.
Ollie and Nikki are that couple the universe had other plans for. From the heart-aching disappearance of Ollie's sister, also Nikki's best friend, to their love being ripped away from them, it wasn't an easy road to get to where they are when we meet up with these tortured hearts in Lead Me Home. But even as the book fills in the gut-wrenching memories we haven't been privvy to, it seems almost impossible for Ollie and Nikki to find a happily ever after.
This book took so many twists and turns and at some point or another I think my heart hurt for every character. I felt for them each that much. Every emotional and/or real crime against them just clenched my heart that much tighter. So, right this minute, you're probably thinking: WHY would I want to read what is probably going to be a sobfest? Well it's NOT. This is a beautiful story. And for every tear I shed while reading it, Nikki and Ollie also offered ounces of love in triplicate, if not more. These two are sexy, SO sexy together. Like melt my makeup off and hand me a fan sexy. And with them giving into their undeniable connection, that was LONG overdue, and the story as a whole...sigh... this book was just EVERYTHING for my little reader heart. It was emotional in the best and worst ways, and exactly what I needed to escape from the real world. If I could have submerged myself in Ollie and Nikki's world for longer, I absolutely would have.
