This was my first Penny Wylder book, and I was so pleasantly surprised! I knew from talks and reviews, that she wrote good books, but with The Wife Arrangement she took a seemingly cookie-cutter trope and made it unique, super sexy, and intriguing!
Dee and Jasper are from different sides of the world, but the necessity for them to act like a married couple arises, they fall into it a little too easily. Almost like they were made for each other. Though their inner dialogues would have you believing that of course they didn't believe that, they know their time as an expiration date, even as they're holding each other a little tighter, and finding comfort in each other's arms when they've always been very self-sufficient prior to their meeting.
The gradual escalation from strangers, to acquaintances, to lovers, to forever was one that I highly enjoyed. Dee and Jasper have some of the hottest sex bar none, and in between their scorching sessions are sweet, meaningful interactions that balance the heat, with heartwarming moments.
If you're looking for a sweet, sexy easy read, look no further. The Wife Arrangement kept be turning pages into the wee hours because I needed to know where it was going, and how everything would play out.
