Nico Mayson knew the moment he saw Sophie Grates that she was the one. His whole life, he has been judged by what’s on the outside, so finding a beautiful woman who sees the real him only makes his feelings that much stronger.

Nico knows the kind of man he is, and the things he is capable of, and he will do everything in his power to help Sophie fight her demons so they can have their happily ever after. Everything in life worth having is worth fighting for.

Honesty up front- this is my first Aurora Rose Reynolds book. Do NOT throw that fruit at me! I regret it! I now know what I've been missing and will repent accordingly. This book, and from word on the street its predecessors as well, are the kinds of book you needs in your life. I mean this in the highest echelon of compliments: this book has the sometimes cheesy, sometimes serious romance, shot-gun love, steamy encounters of the yummy kind, and substantial and captivating story. When it comes to a book that will truly help me escape to a happy place this is it. It's got every category checked off. 

Until Nico follows Nico Mayson's road to his "it" woman. By chance he and Sophie Grates find one another and as far as Nico is concerned the rest of the story can write itself. He's done for in a big way. Just to prove it, he'll pull every alpha card in the deck to prove it. Sometimes you just can't fight it. Nico couldn't fight the destiny he knew was Sophie, and Sophie very quickly learned she couldn't fight it either. What follows next is a story of a couple that is head over heels obsessed with one another. Queue moving fast, and the sickeningly gazing into each others eyes scenes. Who am I kidding, I gobbled that sh-t up! There is an element of suspense to this book, that, while predictable, lent itself in a favorable way to the plot and gave cause for more protective alpha sequences from our beloved Nico. 

Overall, wonderful book. For me it was a quick, hot, and loving read that left me wanting more. I have to say that sometimes reading the last in a series, as long as there's no arcing plot, is beneficial. I was so intrigued when I got glimpses of previous couples that now I HAVE to know their stories! I've already got them downloaded, so I'm prepared for a marathon of the alpha Mayson men *swoon*. In short, I definitely recommend this book. It's very unique in its genre. The uniqueness is mostly attributed to the way Reynolds writes her male lead. Nico was such a peculiar read for me, and his Tarzan attitude totally did it for me :)
