Ten years ago I had no idea what I wanted out of life, until I met Hannah Michaels. She was a computer-engineering student ready to conquer the social media world, and I was smitten. Even though I knew she was taken, I had to have her.

Being the big shot that I was, I didn’t let her status stand in my way. It wasn’t long before my hands were on her thighs and my name a whisper on her lips. This smart, sexy girl inspired me to greatness, helped me grow into the kind of man I never knew I wanted to be. The man I am today.

Too bad I hadn’t grown fast enough to keep her.

Moving on wasn’t easy, but I knew I had to let her go. Eventually, I found someone to share my days and nights with, and together we had a daughter. My life was nearly perfect until my world turned upside down.

A single father has challenges, and one of those is learning how to calmly deal with your child coming home in tears. I had no idea the day I pounded on my daughter’s classmate’s door, Hannah would be the one standing on the other side.

The wild burning desire that rushed through my veins was unwanted, and yet impossible to ignore. Letting her in meant so much more this time around. Guilt hit me like a hammer. I hated myself. I hated her. The problem was I really didn’t hate her—I wanted her more than ever.

But this time around I can’t have her.

This time it’s my status that stands in our way. And going up against myself just might be the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

This book had my heart in tatters. But the payoff was oh, so sweet. Hannah and Jace were always meant to be, but life had other plans. Other heartbreaking, but also "made me the strong person I am today" plans. And while I can't say that I believe they wouldn't have made it if they had made different decisions in the past, and I wouldn't wish what they went through individually on even the cruelest of people, their paths led them to two beautiful children. Though now that life has thrown them back together, they're both gun-shy of getting back into the all-consuming feelings they once felt for one another. But they may just not have a choice. Like I said, life has its own plans where these two are concerned.

Hannah was my hero in this book. She's a rock, a sweeheart, and able to give Jace back the passion he gives her ten-fold, which holy-hotness scorched me from the pages. Jace was another story. The sweet moments he has with his daughter, Scarlett, just about melted my heart into a puddle of goo. But how he was with Hannah... sigh... that either made me want to slap him upside the head, dead-leg him in the balls, or swoon so freaking hard. Jace is one conflicted man, but thankfully he has a whole cast of characters around him to help him see sense.

This book was heart-wrenching, and wonderful at the same time. The only thing I wish was for the ending to pack a little more punch, but the epilogue definitely gave me all kinds of warm-fuzzies. If you're looking for an emotional, super sexy, and fantastic read, you really need look no further. Big Shot is a winner for sure!
