Loving Cara had a little bit of everything. Love, lust, drama, filthy hot sex, hot hero, lovable heroine... need I go on? Ms. Proby took Josh and Cara's lives and made them a reality for me. I was immersed in their town, their friends. This is just one of those books that's telling the day to day life of these old acquaintances that happen to fall in love and steal your heart. Josh and Cara are the type of couple I love to read about. They're the couple that just are. There's no muss, and no fuss. Just two people who finally saw the light and made a life together. In the hottest way possible. That's another mark in the pro column. This book is multifaceted. It's erotica without focusing solely on the sex. It's contemporary with hearty emotions. It's like Kristen Proby finally nailed down the perfect recipe for a book.
Josh and Cara have known each other for years. So when they're thrown back into one another's lives, they best beware of the chemistry and love-bug. When Josh's nephew, Seth, is unceremoniously dropped off at his doorstep, Josh finds that he and his parents are in over their heads. His nephew, while bright, has had a tough break causing him to act out, and dumb himself down. Enter Cara as his summer school tutor. She was just looking for some extra cash for the summer holiday. Lo and behold she found a lot more than that. From the get-go Josh is done for. He's made the decision that he wants Cara and he will woo her to the best of his ability. Josh must find a way to prove to Cara that she's worth everything, while Cara has to accept that he can be overbearing and that his feelings are resolute. They have some hurdles to jump, but when an accident causes tension among the couple they will have to learn to reconcile their differences or lose one another.
I couldn't get enough of Josh and Cara. They had chemistry hotter than hell, and fit with each other like puzzle pieces. Josh and Cara are the couple we wish we could all be a part of. Their development and uniqueness are stunning. Josh's alpha tendencies and Cara's no tolerance attitude make butting heads an adorable, yet hilarious olympic sport. Trust me, you'll never have to worry about a dull moment in this book. I straight up devoured it. AND there's more to come! Loving Cara heavily laid the ground work for the following two books. Next up, is Seducing Lauren which is Ty's book. Good gracious, am I excited to know what is up with Lauren! She was such an enigma in this book. Can't wait!
