Synopsis:
Milan’s notorious playboy, Prince Tittoni, seems to have everything—Lamborghinis, exotic women, palaces throughout Europe and business success. Ramping up his fabric company to go global with a new apparel brand, he ruthlessly stops supplying fabrics to the American client who inspired the collection. But once they meet, what’s he willing to give to get her in his bed?
Upper East Side designer Lex Easton has already endured her fair share of hard knocks. She’ll be damned if she’ll let an Italian stud muffin knock her down. So what if she named her favorite vibrator after him? With Fashion Week approaching, she’ll do whatever it takes to secure the fabrics she needs to make her clothing line an international success—even sleep with her rival.
Lex’s Louboutins are dug in deep to win this war. All’s fair in love and fashion!
Inside Scoop: Though the hero and heroine remain monogamous, their Prada-wearing friends indulge in a ménage a trois and other fashionable sexual fun and games.
Review:
I was fortunate enough to get a review copy of Unscrupulous (The Manhattanites #2) and I LOVED the series and was so looking forward to Lex's story (Undressed). I actually lucked out a second time and received a review copy of Undressed as well :). Undressed actually comes second in the timeline, Unscrupulous being its prequel, but they are both standalones so you can read them in whatever order you want to. I got a glimpse of Lex in Unscrupulous as a quiet, hardworking, almost naive character... boy was I wrong! Well, not about the hardworking part, Easton Essentials is Lex's livelihood and she busts her ass to make it the best. However, Little Miss Easton is neither quiet nor naive. She has got quite the filthy mouth on her, and it was hilarious.
In a rush to ready her outfits for New York fashion week Lex has to hunt down her supplier at his humble abode, more like sex pad, and threaten him with legal action. Her supplier, Massimo Tittoni, is a player on the outside and such a lover on the inside. As much shit and dirty talk that Lex spouts at him he returns... in duplicate. These characters make no apology for their kink or their hilarity. These two steam up the bedroom, while their menage a trois-ing friends steam up every other surface. Their inner dialogues are equal parts dirty, heartfelt and comical. While Undressed is riddled with quips left and right, Massimo and Lex do have a deeper story development. With professional and personal obstacles to overcome they come head to head a few times and boy do I love their way of making up! In a world that has fast and hard rules they find equal footing with one another and succeed together.
I started highlighting sentences about two pages in and it is quite possible that 50% of my ebook is now highlighted. Undressed delivers non-stop comedic relief and raunchiness. It holds the perfect mix of sex and story. Ms. Aster produces a very eclectic and original story that I devoured! This cast of characters will make you laugh out loud and blush to your roots. Check out Undressed and make sure to pick up Unscrupulous while you're at it :)
Happy Reading!
