Kristen struggles to hold herself together, until she discovers a revelation that will change everything.

So if you read my reviews for the previous books you'll see that I quite enjoyed Forbidden Surrender, and absolutely loved Secret Surrender. Beautiful Surrender is a different story. I'm not saying I didn't like it, I definitely enjoyed it, and loved seeing Vincent and Kristen's HEA. But, I wanted more... maybe more is the wrong word. Let's go with different. I didn't foresee their story leading where it did. And while I usually welcome surprises in stories, this one kinda left me unsettled a bit. I felt that there was already so much going on leading up to the third book that the plot twists were just a smidge overbearing. So that's my piece on my negatives for the book. 

The positives definitely outweigh the negatives.  Kristen and Vincent are put through the ringer in Beautiful Surrender. They face obstacles that are tough for any couple in their situation yet, they handle it with a poise and a mostly confident demeanor. I saw a lot of growth in the two of them throughout this book. Partially because of the circumstances handed to them and partially because they were evolving as a couple. That is one of my major checklist points when I'm determining if I liked a series/book. The characters have to show growth. If they're just stationary in their life, then what was the point of the story? And Vincent and Kristen definitely showed me that they could have a life beyond a HEA. The matter at hand in this final book grounded Vincent a little bit. I always saw him as untouchable in the previous books but, in this one I saw a more sweet and protective side to him. You really see his feelings for Kristen come out and they are incredibly explosive. I will say this, prepare for some quiet, alone time when you're reading this. At times it was very intense. I felt like I was feeling so many emotions and there was definitely no way I was allowing myself to be distracted while I read Vincent and Kristen's conclusion.

As with the previous book Ms. West is a phenomenal writer. I love her style and the way she writes her characters. She makes them very personable. Every struggle and emotion I could feel and understand. Overall, I'm pleased with how Kristen and Vincent's story ended. I think together these three books make up a solid series that many will enjoy!

Dean and Jillian's marriage is something I think every woman/girl lusts after. The Marriage Diaries simply tells a story of growth and trust in an already ideal relationship. But like any relationship, there is always room for improvement. Jillian and Dean may have worked through thick and thin to get where they are now but, they have exceeded everyone's expectations and built a beautiful life together. Their only fault, they have strict vanilla sex in the bedroom. A matter which Jillian is determined to rectify. How? Oh you know just by seducing her husband in every which way. Jillian and Dean absolutely consume one another. Their passion is elevated to a new level and they open up their minds to new ideas including bondage, role play and a whole host of other kinky ideas.

I could tell from the beginning and the bits of back story that Jillian and Dean are such a strong couple. They've been together since their younger years, and truly have a story that most people would kill to live. I loved Jillian's unabashed adoration and need for Dean. She knew exactly what to do and what to say to get him to fulfill her sexual fantasies, and give into his need for kink that he has always kept at bay. Dean on the other hand, is incredibly dominant and captivating. Jillian definitely has a alpha, panty-melter on her hands. And while these stories are absolutely smoking hot, there is still substance and a story to be read. I thoroughly enjoyed each installment in The Marriage Diaries and am so thrilled there is no end in sight for these two and their sexual escapades. I also wanted to say that this is a different kind of story. And I have to commend Erika Wilde. I mean, I love all of her books so I was going to give this a shot no matter what but, I had a moment of pause with the "been married for 20 years" part. Yes, I know call me a snob or whatever else but, I don't tend to like the already married books. And now I will admit that I was wrong and my TBR list just grew exponentially *hangs head in shame*. This series is written masterfully, and I was enthralled from beginning to end. It was definitely not what I was expecting and I was oh so pleasantly surprised. Long story short, go buy this series! You'll fall in love with Jillian and Dean and be stalking Erika Wilde, begging her to give you the next installment :) PS you can get ALL 4 current installments for .99 cents! So now you really have absolutely zero excuses to not buy it. So go. Now.
