There is no way to explain how happy I am that the release of Revealing Us is only 31 days away! Most of you saw my rave reviews on Being Me and The Master Undone and you should just brace yourselves now for what I am sure will be a rambling, gushing, extra squeeful review of Revealing Us! And have you seen the new cover?! Revealing Us got a make over! Now for a few weeks I was a little bitter about it, I liked the old cover a little more, but the new one grew on me. The new cover had so much more meaning to the story that you can't help but love it and then Ms. Jones posted this pic on Facebook:

Oh good heavens it is so gorgeous! I always tend to think book covers a prettier in person and this just solidifies my opinion. This will probably be one of those books that I HAVE to buy in paperback and ebook. Anyhow, you guys probably care more about the book than my girly obsessions with this series :) So here you go.

My Review:
This book kind of blindsided me. The author's voice is fresh, witty, completely hysterical and something not easily found in today's book market. This is, for the most part, a lighthearted romantica novel that sucked me in and I could not wait to see what happened next! Now, I did not know until about halfway through that this was book #2 in a series, but it turns out I was lucky because Unscrupulous is actually the prequel in the Manhattanites series, although it does not make too much of a difference as all of the books are standalone. This book has an insane cast of characters that you love, want to slap upside the head, and can't wait to get your hands on their story. I'll be honest, at first Taddy Brill almost put me off of this book, because at times her life seemed almost too ridiculous to believe. However, I think in the end that is what I loved about this book, the ridiculousness of some of the story line helped me escape and completely immerse myself in Unscrupulous and love it even more. I wanted Lex, Kiki, Vive and Blake as my friends and to get more of a glimpse at their posh, and wondrous world. Then there is Warner, oh boy did he ever make it to the top of my book boyfriend list of 2013. He is sweet, caring, loving and the perfect hero! This was one of the books where the hero and heroine together brought out the best in each other and the reader lets out a wistful sigh when they get their happily ever after, or at least I did :). I will definitely be picking up Lex's book and I think if you enjoy a great romantica novel you should pick up Unscrupulous for sure! Unscrupulous will be be out on August 14, 2013. My Review:
AHHHH! Sorry, I just had to get that out :) Master Undone was my favorite of the novellas from the Inside Out series. "Master" Mark Compton finds his match. After Mark receives the shocking news about Rebecca he must jet off the New York to deal with a family matter. Mark blames himself for what happened to Rebecca and has no interest in redemption or the pity and condolences Chris and Sara lay upon him. He refuses to believe he is not to blame and is numb as he travels to be by his mother's side. Then he meets Crystal, and let me just say she is one of my favorite heroines I have read in a very long time. Of course, being a "Master" Mark takes no orders from anyone... except Crystal. She has this equally dominant, yet sweet, personality that completely befuddles Mark. He has never reacted like this to a woman before and as much as he tries to fight the pull, he cannot. This novella stepped up the Inside Out series, and I cannot wait to get a hold of the rest of Mark's story!

My Review:
Oh my! This book left me reeling. Being Me deals with so many of the plot problems of this series. We find out what happened to Rebecca, who "Master" is, more hints about Chris' secret/past. What the reader does not find out is what happened to Ella, and the fate of Sara and Chris. Being Me had so many ups and downs, I felt the character growing one minute and then taking steps backwards. One thing I know for sure is that Ms. Jones has aptly named her novels. I felt that Sara started to make the distinction between her life and Rebecca's, and found herself, but Chris' reluctance to share any of his own demons squashed their growth as a couple. As much as I love Chris, there were several moments where I just wanted to smack him! I felt that he was controlling his universe at the expense of Sara. Yes, he supposedly just wanted to keep her safe, but by the end Sara was agreeing to some ludicrous demands from him. I actually finished this a couple days ago, but I was left with mixed feelings. I then realized that, or I like to believe, that Sara was giving into his demands because she wants to make a new life, away from Rebecca's and away from her father and Michael. Sara finally comes to peace with the woman in the journal and is ready to start anew with Chris, but finds that even though she agrees to some of his demands, ultimately he is just trying to push her away. The turmoil for every character in the end about tore my heart out, I certainly did not see the plot twist coming when I began Being Me. I feel that the choice Sara is forced to make at the end is not whether she loves Chris or not, but if she can save him from his past the way he saved her from becoming Rebecca. Now, I may have this whole "in their heads" examination wrong, but that is one thing I love about Ms. Jones' writing is that she leaves a big part of her stories to the reader's interpretation. This is a fantastic addition to the Inside Out Series and I cannot wait to get my hands on Revealing Us! Stay tuned for my review on The Master Undone.

My Review:

I have a new favorite Sinner! I have been not so patiently waiting for Eric's book to come out and I was honored to get an advanced copy of Wicked Beat. This book was everything I hoped it would be and more! Eric gets his HEA with a wonderful heroine, who is a great addition to the Sinners' family. Rebekah has had her fair share of heart breaks and Eric was just the guy to help put her back together. I could not get enough of this book, and would love to see a "Sinners: Where Are They Now?" book sometime in the future from Ms. Cunning. This book has the sweet romantic factor and of course in true Sinner style the heat factor is off the charts! Fans of the Sinners series will love this new addition, and newcomers will be grappling for the older books. One of my favorite things about Olivia Cunning's writing style is she always takes it a step further. This book could have easily ended about two thirds of the way through, but the last third brings closure to most, if not all of the story lines, and gives the reader more of a story than most authors offer.Ms. Cunning never closes the curtain at "Yes, I forgive you and I love you!" She always gives those extra scenes to show there is life after happily ever after, and not in a cheesy epilogue fashion either. This book is definitely being filed on my re-read shelf! For those who want more of Olivia Cunning's amazing writing make sure to check out her One Night with Sole Regret series, it is just as fabulous as the Sinners!

My Review:

I don't think I have been this excited about the third in a trilogy before! I also think this is one of the best endings to a trilogy. Some might say that the third book was not necessary and that Ms. Kenner could have finished up the series in two books, and I would have to whole-heartedly disagree. The cliff hanger from book two is resolved, for the most part, quite speedily. There are other mysterious aspects the author brings in that are not necessarily needed, but in the end bring the story full circle. The amazing part of this book, to me at least, is that J. Kenner grows the character of Damien Stark leaps and bounds from his alpha, domineering ways. Yes, he is still the alpha we know and love, but he also opens up and allows Nikki to become his equal, his partner. As for Nikki's independence, it is kind of a roller coaster. At times she takes a stand, but then she turns right around and reacts or does something to make the reader want to yell at her. However, those qualities in Nikki bring humanity and reality to this series. This book was a perfect ending to a fantastic series, and I cannot wait for more from Ms. Kenner! If you have not started the series, you should and you will not be disappointed!
