Perfect ass.
Perfect arms.
Perfect swagger.
They call Dash Wallace the Diamond King.
He’s the hottest commodity in baseball and in the bedroom.
When he runs the bases, every woman’s eyes are glued to his stunning body and a smile that puts the night lights to shame.
I’m no queen. I’m a regular girl with a regular job. I just watch him on TV and from the bleachers, season after season.
Girls like me grab a guy like that one in a million times.
My number just came up, and he is as spectacular in bed as he is on the field.
But there’s not a woman in the world who can distract Dash Wallace from the game. Not for a moment. Not even me.
Until the night I do. And everything changes.
Hardball is a SMOKING HOT, SEXY romance with a touch of angst and a ton of heart from CD Reiss. It's a fun, witty, full-length standalone meant for the over-eighteen crowd.

Staying true to her unique and mind-bending stories, CD Reiss has created another winner with her standalone Hardball. It's not your typical sport romance. It's got a big quirk, and some real life sh*t going on. It's not all sunshine and roses, but that's what I love about it. Dash and Vivian have this odd connection that takes a bit to unearth. It's no wham-bam-thank-you-mam. It's oh, hey, oh... hey. Catch my drift? Probably not, but let's keep going.
In the sports world you don't mess with your routine. You win big, you do exactly what you did the next game. Good luck. Superstition. Whatever you want to call it, you don't screw with it. But when outside forces screw with Dash Wallace's good luck charms, and steady eddy routine he's desperate to get back on track. In walks the circumstances that land him in Vivian's library. And she becomes this drug that pulls him under. He shouldn't mess with what's left of his carefully structured life, but he can't get this woman out of his mind. Low and behold she becomes even more valuable to him than either of them anticipated. But Vivian isn't sure she wants or needs the pressure of being Dash's good luck charm when he won't believe in the golden talent that is his alone.
Hardball gives as good as it gets. The stunningly sexy chemistry between the characters is not to outshine the complex and real storyline or the great cast of supporting characters that fold you into their world and make you one of their own. Nor do Dash and Vivian fall into the cookie cutter of every sports romance before them. They are special, and while their romance is intense it is also endearing and sweet. It's a melting pot of emotions that readers won't be prepared for, yet will want to delve deeper into. Who says a romance can't have it all? This one does. In spades. Or steals. Whichever you're counting in.
Bottom line: would I recommend it? Absolutely. You will fall in love with Dash and feel every emotion that emits itself from Vivian. You will love them as their own, and as a couple. You simply will not be able to get enough of them. And to that end, I complete my tirade and urge you to 1-click this bad boy and diver right into the deliciousness that is Hardball.
Happy Reading!

CD Reiss is a USA Today bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up she's at the well hauling buckets.
Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.
She's frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn't ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood.
If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
